Sun F(ol)lower

Image
A quick prototyping platform with two 360º digital servo motors, 4 LDR's and a two axis joystick. The system tracks a strong source of light and the sensitivity to which it responds can be adjusted.

a-maze

Image
This is a fun puzzle to solve.  Has several mazes stacked on top of each other. Once one level is completed, the ball falls to the next level. The tricky part is that this should be solved blindly... You shouldn't be able to see the ball, just ear it and feel it as it goes through the maze.  Maps can be used to help the player, however, the maximum difficulty level for this puzzle is to mentally map the maze (no aid) and solve it just by feel, focus and dextrous movements. It can be seen and printed on Thingiverse here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2771165

RGB color selector

Image
This is my first Instructable... A colour selector using an Arduino, Processing and an RGB LED. It enables the user to mix colours in all the visible spectrum. You can check the full Instructable here: http://www.instructables.com/id/RGB-color-selector/

Ratchet Mechanism First Study

Image
This is one of the first models in a series of simple ratchet mechanisms. To test their strength and functionality, it was included in the design an hexagonal slot for the standard 1/4" (6,4 mm) bits. It holds force quite well, however it needs some force to rotate the pawls. This model was published on Thingiverse ( https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2213785) The shaft has a conical design to allow printing in one piece (although in this case it had to be separated in two), act as a bearing and hold some axial force. For future projects, already in tests, the ratchet mechanism will be printed in one single piece.

Exordium

The begining of a journey: In here, I'll be posting some studies and projects mainly about mechanisms, electronics, programming, 3D modeling among other areas. Added to that, I'm a proud owner of an Anet A8 3D printer, which was subject to a lot of modifications already, and allowed me to prototype a lot and discover a new world of possibilities. I'll try to keep things simple and focus on the ideas or concepts. So... Let's begin!
