Update on the Sun F(ol)lower

The Sun F(ol)lower had an upgrade: It has a new, dedicated board. It simplifies the cabling a lot, and makes it quicker to (dis)assemble. As is, this board can be used as a prototyping board for reading 4 sensors (analogic input) of 10kOhm (to complete the voltage divider) and control 2 digital outputs. What's next: Now that the main board is up and running, the project can move to the next stage: -Improving the algorithm for light sensitivity in various light conditions; -Add a solar panel; -Redesign the structure to hold the servo motors, solar pannel, sensors and all the components.

Abalone

Here's a really simple to learn, yet great strategy game.    In the link, there's some info about the game and how to play: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abalone_(board_game) If you'd like to play online, press this link: https://lazymuttgames.com/games/Abalone/ The design of the board had some interesting challenges and required some study to make sure the marbles would slide properly. If you'd like to print this board, the files are available in my Thingiverse page here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3461916 I've decided to give it a go, with a small version of the board, with Ø16mm marbles and it works really well. The board has 160mm circumscribed. For the near future, an outer skirt will be added to collect the marbles. It wasn't printed with the board due to the printing bed dimensions. The skirt will have 3 parts that will connect with one another and with the board itself. This is how it will look like:

a-maze

This is a fun puzzle to solve.  Has several mazes stacked on top of each other. Once one level is completed, the ball falls to the next level. The tricky part is that this should be solved blindly... You shouldn't be able to see the ball, just ear it and feel it as it goes through the maze.  Maps can be used to help the player, however, the maximum difficulty level for this puzzle is to mentally map the maze (no aid) and solve it just by feel, focus and dextrous movements. Ratchet Mechanism First Study

This is one of the first models in a series of simple ratchet mechanisms. To test their strength and functionality, it was included in the design an hexagonal slot for the standard 1/4" (6,4 mm) bits. It holds force quite well, however it needs some force to rotate the pawls. This model was published on Thingiverse ( https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2213785) The shaft has a conical design to allow printing in one piece (although in this case it had to be separated in two), act as a bearing and hold some axial force. For future projects, already in tests, the ratchet mechanism will be printed in one single piece.
